Spring

It's seems like spring is finally coming to Ottawa. While I wouldn't doubt that snow could still arrive with a fury in April, Environment Canada is predicting that the cold season is over for this region.

I can't wait to fire up the bbq and spend my evenings on the newly renovated front porch listening to records. Summer is almost here!

Law Ball!

Law Ball is kinda like Prom for law students. Needless to say, it was a shitshow but definitely a fun time.

Hi Everybody; The pictures of the pool look very inviting. It is sunny today but minus 10. This is the first time I've seen this blog. It's a great idea. I'll add to it sometime soon. Kevin

Does that mean hockey is over for the season, or are they starting a second league like other years?
I sat outside today reading & fell asleep on the chaise, to wake up with a gecko in my hair, thought you would like that Susan.

New York!

I went to NYC last weekend with my friends Jay, Kelly and Emily. We had a blast. We drove down on Friday and drove back on Family Day. We stayed in a hostel in Times Square.

There was nothing but good times. I saw Cameron Diaz walking down the street on 5th Ave. We also got around to visiting Greenwich Village where we found little basement bars that had Beer Pong tables.

One night, we even dressed up all fancy and had drinks at the Rainbow Room on the 65th floor of the Rockefeller Plaza. From there we went to some really nice restaurant, Nougatine, where we had this crazy four course meal for only $35. We ended the night off drinking cans of Coors Original out of paper bags in Central Park.

I love that city. Here's some pictures of our trip:

Justin's play offs are finished - a fight right to the end but couldn't get that last goal in. Thanks again Bruce and Debbie for coming to Whitby. Pancake Tuesday ANY we saw a Cardinal today so spring is almost here. Wouldn't know it - today was minus 19 when I woke up. Exciting to see Jay on the net! Way to go. Kevin's MRI has now been scheduled for March 15th.

Bad news - finally lost the tan and now I can't find it
:-(|
Anything new out there?

Happy Valentine's Everyone - weather is sunny and warm - almost zero degrees - lost about 2 feet of snow this past week - very exciting!!!

Justin was thrilled to see Bruce and Debbie in Whitby last night for his play-off game (thank you for coming) while Courtney went to her semi-formal at Crestwood - looked beautiful in her black satin cocktail dress (and more like 17 than her real age). Me? I woke up today and found a few more wrinkles - I really have to get rid of all the mirrors or stop having slumber parties with teenaged girls in the house until 4 in the morning.

But hey, I still have my Forida tan ;)

Susan
PS Kevin says hello. Everything is fine but next week will be getting a MRI in Cobourg to check out his head. Had some recent pain. No worries.

I don't want anybody to start laughing, but; I did it again. In yesterday's hockey game, I fell into the boards and seroiusly broke my thumb. I'm in a cast up to my elbow. I have to follow up with the surgeon to see if it needs a plate and screws. So; skiing maybe out of the question this year. Looks like we may be going to Cocoa Beach to watch Brodie's spring training. I will keep you posted!
Branden, hope you are having a great time in So Cal. Let us know if we can see you in the audience of the Tonight Show.

Still have the tan...

Tuesday, January 6, 2009

OK!
Susan has helped me log into the proper page. (this better work)
I have been adding my comments by mistake to Branden's original blog. I know I'm the idiot.
So, log into the very first to see comments on our trip.
I think it is so fantastic that we have all spent more time together recently than ever before. We all had a great time! I know Brodie really enjoyed being with the boys, and I thank them both for taking him along with them.
Happy New Year!
Keep up the postings.

Happy New Year!

We had a fantastic time in Florida visiting everyone for New Years. Once again, thank you Maureen and Jeff for all your hospitality. Courtney was excited about her tan when she woke up this morning for school! Trip home was sad for Justin as he didn't want to leave but he was pumped for school this morning so he could share his stories about the drive around the 'circle' but he said his highlight was driving with Jeff as I don't think that will ever change!!! Delayed in Ottawa for an extra hour I think due to weather elsewhere with the plane. Nice surprise to see Bruce at Pearson - it extended our trip a little bit more, thank you. As for this morning, it is not quite the same waking up here with -15C weather and ice on the driveway but that is okay...we have the memories to keep us warm. Hasta Menana. Susan
